Friday – Monday, Day 21–31
During the long crossing from Hawaii to Japan, the focus on coursework resumes its intensive pace with no time for anything except the next class or event. The pressure is on even more to make progress on reading and research papers because once land is reached we go from Japan to China to Hong Kong to Vietnam and to Cambodia in an almost steady stream of 18 days, with barely one or two days in between each destination. Many of the students are traveling independently while on land, which means that they are also engaging in non-stop checking of travel guides for all of these countries.
